CEODE VR SYSTEM
In the Center for Earth Observation and Digital Earth , Chinese Academy of Sciences (CEODE), the virtual reality system is a simulation system for comprehensive monitoring and commanding on natural disaster emergency events. This project relies on the abundant data accumulation and rich research results from emergency response events on natural disaster that the Chinese Academy of Sciences participated in for many years. In the meantime, the project fully utilized the spatial data, the socio-economic statistical data, and the data of natural disasters at home and abroad over the years. Based on the data mentioned above and combined with a number of scientific research projects (related with 863,973) undertaken by the CEODE and research results on 3D simulation, the system is established as a basic platform for comprehensive information with global spatial data processing, high precision 3D models and efficient special analysis tools.
