A NEW GENERATION OF SEAMLESS DISPLAY SYSTEM

 

Seamless large screen monitoring system introduced by PowerVision is the new generation of display system technology after previous products such as CRT, PDP plasma TV wall ,LCD display wall, DLP rear projection, the big screen system has some special features like: seamless, continuous, uniform brightness, color uniform, etc.
In 2008, PowerVision built the first set of seamless integration of micro-arc display monitor system in China for R&D Center, China National Power Grid Company Shanghai Branch in 2008, this project is a major change for the power industry, breaking the traditional application pattern of splicing display screen system, and has made considerable praise in the power industry. Then products are applied to the emergency command center, maintenance center, control center, evaluation system, virtual training center and other fields.
The system applies edge blending for multi projectors, and through the combination of geometric correction, color correction, fusion, and multi-window display technology, provides a full display image in a large size screen. The system can provide customers with a broader perspective, the more realistic seamless image. Display content without division and flat-fell seam, can bring better immersive and more comfortable visual experience for the users, which accords with the concept of electric power industry:” Informationization, intellectualized, visualization and humanization”

System features

ompared with the traditional splicing display technology, PowerVision’s new generation seamless display system has the following advantages:
◆ High contrast, vivid picture
◆ Continuous images, no sense of partition, good color uniformity, and good visual senses
◆ Uniform brightness, different from the splicing display system. Splicing display system will have color and brightness inconsistence after long time use ◆ Images can be combined or divided freely according to the customers’ needs
◆ Low radiation
◆ Flexible system design, possible to design different display sizes according to the monitoring center room space and size
◆ Both projection methods can be used in the system(rare projection and front projection)
◆ No special requirements for projection screen, it could be flat or curved

Application domain

◆ The system could be applied to the scheduling communication center, it can realize automatic real-time monitoring for the operation of the power grid, and provide comprehensive real-time dispatching monitoring information for dispatch person

System mode

◆ Centralized monitoring mode:
Combine the safety monitoring system, video monitoring system and other information management system together, and directly show the information in the monitoring center on a seamless(or curved) large HD screen, and realize signal monitoring, scheduling management at the same time
◆ Distributed monitoring mode:
Using two or more than 2 sets of seamless display system, according to the type of work, professional distinguish, clearly shows different contents in the professional seamless display system for monitoring platform

Adjustable display system

◆ When office staff are sitting in front of the control desk completely, projection systems and control table will drop to the lowest level.
◆ When office staff is half sat, projection systems and control table height can be appropriately raised, to adapt to the operation of the operator
◆ When office staff is standing, projection systems and control table will rise to the highest level, to adapt to the operation of the operator
◆ Installation:
A new generation of seamless display system can choose a different installation method according to the monitoring center space size:
◆ Front projection:
Projector is set in front of the screen; the audiences sit at the same side. This method will save installation space, customer can choose a curved screen or flat screen for front projection.

Rear Projection

Projector is set behind the screen; the audiences sit at the other side of the screen, if the customer choose rear projection, the projector will not be influenced by the ambient light and fluorescent lamp in the room, so it will obtain very good display effect and contrast, it can also avoid the projector noise.
Successful cases
